Bolder fragrances work well in cold winter months, because it’s harder to sense fragrances when temperatures plummet. Now is a great time to try something new. Here are five wonderful new scents to lift your spirits on cold, gray days and warm up your winter – from elegant and fruity to sweet and sophisticated.

Elegant Crisp Fruit
Jo Malone English Pear & Freesia is a lush, crisp scent has fresh, fruity notes of ripe, juicy pear blended with the delicate freshness of white freesias and scrambling wild roses and the warmth and sensuality of amber, patchouli and woods. The unconventional addition of cool green rhubarb – both acidic and soft – adds a modern twist to classic notes. The result is an elegant autumnal fragrance that transitions beautifully into winter.
The cologne is available for $55 (30 ml) and $100 (100 ml) at jomalone.com and at Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and select Nordstrom and Bloomingdales stores nationwide. The scent is also available in a Body Créme, Body & Hand Wash and Home Candle.

It is a complex, heady blend crafted from the highest quality natural, botanical ingredients, including high-altitude lavender from France, damask rose from Turkey, Italian bergamot and spicy patchouli from Indonesia.
