Some great news came out of the Billboard chart announcement Thursday morning — Adam Lambert now has his fourth song to have made an appearance on the Canadian Hot 100. Following a successful increase in airplay north of the border, “Sleepwalker” has made its first appearance on the chart at #90.
Largely, this placement is due to Adam’s performance on Hot Adult Contemporary radio. When it comes to airplay, “Sleepwalker” has received 232 spins in the past week, and the song itself is reaching a fairly broad audience across Canada.
So can the song move further up the charts moving forward? It certainly seems possible — however, Adam will need to pick up some more momentum on the radio charts for this to happen. “Sleepwalker” has only received 11 additional spins this week compared to the week before — though we also have to remember that the presence of Christmas songs across the radio may be limiting the opportunity of more mainstream music for the time being.
