Long time residents of San Diego have seen Mission Valley flood before, but it has been many years since it has been as bad as it was over the last two days.
The San Diego river swelled up and surrounded a Mission Valley hotel and a few apartment complexes.
Qualcomm Stadium has so much muddy water that crews are using hoses to suck it out today. Some areas are 2-3 feet deep.
The Coaster is not operating as it had to be shut down because of soil erosion in Sorrento Valley. The Fashion Valley Transit Center is closed and the Metrolink from Oceanside to Laguna Niguel is closed.
The ocean is a very popular place to go after the rain, but there is an advisory to stay out of the water.
