Atlanta police have arrested the man they said shot and killed a teen after the man’s car was egged in a Halloween prank.
Mr. Michael Hunnicutt, 20, was arrested about 1:30 p.m. 2580 Baker Road Friday and charged with murder in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Tivarus Irving, police spokesman Mr. Carlos Campos said.
The shooting happened about 8 p.m. on Joseph E. Lowry Boulevard after someone egged a Mercedes near the intersection of Joseph E. Boone Boulevard, police said.
Police had received a call about the teen pranksters before the shooting and dispatched an officer to the scene. The responding officer left Joseph E. Boone Boulevard to investigate another incident. After he left, the suspect returned and shot at Mr. Irving 10 times, officials said.
The teen, who was shot in the neck and leg, died while enroute to Grady Memorial Hospital, police has said.
