Christmas is the traditional celebration of Jesus’s birth. I know a few atheists who abbreviate the holiday as X-mas, but I am not sure if they know that is still an equivalent reference to Jesus Christ. Talk of this particular holiday really gets atheists going. Want to see spirited disbelief? Watch an atheist respond to the nativity scene at the capital. Want to hear a non-believer dogmatically profess his faith? Ask an atheist about anything but chicken or airplanes while using the words right wing. So why are atheists buying gifts and celebrating the Holiday? What is up with the secular humanists shopping at the stores? Were atheists participating in Black Friday? What are they doing spending money to promote the “You Know It’s a Myth” campaign, or earning it selling T-Shirts? There is a commercial chink in the rationalist’s armor.
Whether a person believes Jesus is the reason for the season or the holiday came long before Christ was born, anyone who spends a U.S. dollar promotes a theist belief. Like it or not, the phrase in God we trust is still on U.S. currency. It is well-settled by the courts that the historical phrase is recognition of a Supreme Being, and thus, does not establish any particular religion. Religion is one thing the court’s don’t favor, belief is another. A true atheist does not believe in a Supreme Being either, right? So why buy presents? Why would an atheist put actual blind faith in the value of legal tender that professes the existence of a belief in the Supernatural? Maybe it is because atheists are nothing new and have been around since self-indulgence reared it’s ugly head in the Garden of Eden.
Atheists have a self-seeking advantage to what they allegedly call reason. Whatever works for atheists, is the reason. I have heard many atheists profess their beliefs in science, yet they have never seen the detail of an atom. They have faith in the theories of man, yet shun the actual Creator of life. Atheists profess faith in science, while they have yet to discover who or what made the spark of life. Science is merely observation of God’s creation. The atheist is ignorant to following the chain of events or playing the tape all the way to the end — like spending money without acknowledging it’s basis. Their hypocrisy is close to comical when atheists spend thousands of U.S. dollars, acknowledging belief in a Supreme Being, to promote non-belief. However, their fevor would create outrage if the subject of their protest were not Christ, but Allah. Imagine what the Whitehouse would do if the atheist’s billboard said Islam was a myth. Imagine the international response to such political blasphemy. So why do atheists go after Christians for their justification? Because Jesus said they would.
It is vitally important to remember that when atheism battles Christianity it is actually spiritual warfare. The spirit against Christ is the antichrist. Unbeknownst to the atheist, they are tools of the antichrist, doing the bidding of those against Christ. Adam and Eve were the first recorded tools of Satan, relying on self rather than God. The Bible offers several instances of human failure, all because of the self-centered desire to be the devine. (Examples: Tower of Babel, golden calf, persecution of Jesus). Christ offers freedom from ignorance. It is through His death on the cross that we are saved from ourselves.
