Knoxville restaurant lays on the soul food for Thanksgiving.
For Knoxvillians who choose to dine out this Thanksgiving Day, it would be hard to find a more traditional Southern roots offering than the buffet at Big Fatty’s. From the hours of noon until 6:00 pm, Big Fatty’s will serve up an all-you-can-eat holiday buffet with all the trimmings.
In addition to the de rigeur turkey and dressing, the buffet menu will include a sassy shrimp and grits, baked ham, seafood pasta, fresh peel and eat shrimp, Southern-style crab cakes, mashed potatoes, skillet-fried corn, green beans and plenty more.
For dessert, Big Fatty’s will offer their famous banana pudding, homemade brownies, pecan pie and pumpkin pie. The price is $24.99 per adult and $14.95 for children under ten.
Diners are also welcome to bring in their own bottle of wine.
If you’d rather eat at home, call ahead for Big Fatty’s Big Turkey Feed. $95.99 will let you take home turkey, dressing, fixings (including a whole pie) –“enough to feed 8 big boys.” Order by this Monday and pick up by 5:00 pm on Wednesday.
