The latest forecast models are showing that cold dry air will move into place today and with that in mind…the forecast where I had the chance of snow showers have decreased. An area of low pressure is still expected to develop today and the track is still for it to move to the south and bring possible accumulating snows to southwest Washington…mainly areas south of Olympia tonight into Monday…while areas north of Olympia still could see some snow showers tonight into Monday. Some of the models are also pointing out that this low could develop and bring the shield of snow showers further north to Seattle. This remains to be seen as if this scenario do play out…that a half of inch to an inch of snow could be possible. We will continue to monitor the situation today into tonight and early Monday morning and even if little snow falls…this type of weather pattern will be the norm for the winter months and there will be other chances that we could see snow during the winter months as we are in a La Nina pattern. I’ll have a complete weather forecast update in about an hour or two.
