Pre-Christmas gift shopping days are dwindling away. But there’s still time to get your loved ones gifts. We thought of at least three categories of folks who would appreciate getting something that makes their lives just a tad easier…
Fisherpeople (buoys and gulls :))–
Everyone who’s every tied a knot while it’s raining or extra cold, can remember how they promised themselves in advance to tie a few set-ups so that they wouldn’t be caught knotless in these situations. When we got a review sample of the Click2knot product, we knew that this was a great idea…and a great gift. You can create knots in both fluorocarbon and dry monofilament lines. And the instructions say that it works with all lures, swivels and hooks with a minimum loop of 2.1 mm. We like that the instructions are well illustrated and the website has a video and user manuals in case the box instructions don’t do the trick.

Toddler-parents (when answering the millionth question gets a little old)
Maybe you have toddlers who are in the ‘question stage’ or your friends are trying to survive this period. Bay Area professional story teller, Kirk Waller, just published a CD that takes the pain out of answering them. In the review CD Waller sent us he says “Children have been asking WHY for centuries and adults have been trying to come up with a good answer ever since! Whether the answers are fact or fun, the socratic journey to finding out the answers to our questions is what I have found most rewarding. I hope you enjoy these pourquoi stories.”
If you have been reading the Vallejo Community Issues Examiner over the last 23 months, you already know we think the world of Kirk Waller. And we are definitely in great company! He is very much in demand and we predict you will also be seeing him someday on the silver screen.
His new CD is called….But WHY? and you can purchase it directly from his website.

Ailing friends and family (getting housecleaning help can really brighten a day)
It may not be the flashiest gift…or one you can tie with a big red bow. Nevertheless helping sick friends and families with household chores can mean a lot. We noticed that the Better Business Bureau has a page of BBB-accredited house cleaners in the Vallejo area
……Stay tuned for future postings where we offer gift ideas for your inner (and outer) geek……:)
