As it turns out, Taylor Swift stuck to her guns when it came to performing “Back to December” at the 2010 CMA Awards Wednesday night. There were some out there who believed that she could end up changing it based on the news leaking around the internet, but the plan stayed as it always was.
This was actually a very different sort of performance for Swift, and it worked. Wearing a long blue dress and sitting at the piano, she played her ode of lost love (supposedly written about “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner) while becing accompanied by an orchestra. It was a soft, emotional performance — which was a nice contrast to some of the louder, intense numbers ate the CMA Awards this year.
Taylor was not as major a force among the nominees as usual this year, thanks largely to the fact that new album “Speak Now” only recently debuted on the chrats.
What did you think of Taylor’s performance? You can view both video and photos to the left of this article.
