Good morning to all San Franciscans and bay area residents,
It is currently 12:56 PM (PST), on this mostly cloudy, breezy, 53 degree Sunday afternoon. Of course, this weather information is based on current data from the San Francisco International Airport weather station, located south of town. Most of the bay area residents are probably familiar with the wide diversity of microclimates that divide the region, for a more detailed view of where each one of the microclimates are located, you can visit websites such as http://www.7×7.com/travel-active/layer-smartly-app-san-franciscos-microclimates.
Over a general basis, conditions over the bay area this weekend are remaining much cooler and wetter, as a new area of low atmospheric pressure associated with a very cold air mass right behind continues moving through the western half of the US. The forecast for the next couple of days calls for mostly cloudy skies, winds blowing out of the West/Northwest with occasional rainfall and daytime temperatures hovering in the 50s. Rainfall accumulations in the next 48 hours are expected to total around half an inch in certain areas. Snow levels should drop to 2,000 feet above sea level during the nighttime hours.
