Career growth opportunity for a MACHINE DESIGN /R&D ENGINEER. Permanent position with a SE Wisconsin based OEM.

Company:
Mid-sized manufacturer of various lines of capital equipment that has experienced steady growth and profitability over the past 40+ years, and is known as a leader in their industry. This company is independently operated and has a friendly small company feel, but is actually part of a major corporation that offers all the advantages of a much bigger organization. They are debt free, run a non-union facility with state-of-the-art equipment, and are selling internationally. THE OPPORTUNITY:
Due to continued growth in current markets as well as expansion into new markets, my client is adding on to the R&D group. They have a reputation for offering some of the more technologically advanced machines in their industry and they see excellent opportunity to strengthen their current market as well as create business in new markets. One of their 5 year goals is to reach 30% of business being generated from new products, which will require a very solid R&D program along with the possibility of an acquisition or two. The position offers variety and challenge, and will be responsible for the design of mechanical components, systems, and complete machines under the guidance of the R&D Manager. Responsible for the integrity, quality, and proper operation of designs from concept through manufacture, assembly, and test. Will interface with customers, vendors, field service, customer service, and sales groups. Minimal travel required (5-10%).

Qualifications:
BSME with experience in complex machine design required. Some background with servo controlled equipment, hydraulics and 3D solid modeling preferred. Packaging, converting or machine tool related machinery helpful, not required. Must be a creative self-starter looking for career growth.

Permanent opportunity for an AUTOMATION PROJECT ENGINEER with process control and/or data integration background for growth-oriented company in SE Wisconsin.

COMPANY:
Headquartered in southeast Wisconsin, my client is a well-established nationwide systems integrator and engineering firm. Over the years they have successfully completed large-scale system integrations for hundreds of global and Fortune 500 companies. POSITION: This is an additional position created due to the company’s continued growth, and will be responsible for managing and developing multiple projects utilizing the latest in automation technologies. These technologies are deployed in the control of batching, blending and CIP. Engineers are given the opportunity to work on projects from the initial planning stages to field installation and commissioning.

EDUCATION /PREFERRED EXPERIENCE (client prefers MOST, not necessarily all of the following)
• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred (consideration may be given for related AAS combined with strong experience)
• Prefer at least 2 years experience designing control systems in the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical industry or other fluid flow type experience such as water /wastewater.
• Experience programming Allen Bradley, GE, Siemens, or Modicon programmable logic controllers is a plus
• HMI application with Rockwell software, Wonderware, GE Intellution, historian and transaction manager products (such as Factory Talk Transaction manager (RSSQL), Factory Talk Historian, InSQL, iHistorian).
• Visual Basic and/or .NET programming expertise
• Database experience – Microsoft SQL Server expertise
• Report development experience with MSAccess and SQL Server Reporting Services
• Knowledge of computer network technologies and equipment
• Software application experience utilizing Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access

Opportunity for an ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING MANAGER for growing SE Wisconsin manufacturer. Requires Design of Embedded Hardware/Software and Motor Controls, along with Leadership experience.

COMPANY: World class manufacturer based in SE Wisconsin. My client is in a strong growth mode and is currently positioned to double their sales over the next 3-5 years. Because of this they are creating new positions and are looking for promotable professionals that can move up in responsibility. POSITION:
Will direct a small team of electronics design engineers to work on a variety of product lines in a fast paced environment. This is a hands-on engineering role that will include mentoring and providing direction for several EE’s. Will be responsible for the hardware and firmware design/development of primarily new products, as well as support of existing products and support of the implementation of new technology into the product line.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (or related) along with at least 8-10 years electronics design, to include embedded hardware/firmware design combined with motor controls. Must have a min. of 3-5 years in a Leadership role, including a successful track record in driving projects and leading teams.
