A Word from the Small Business Administration (SBA):
The December 2010 Small Business Administration (SBA) Chapter News indicates that the Patriot Express Program-one of the loan programs offered by SBA-has been extended for another three years. The Patriot Express offers guaranty interest rate loans to small business veterans, reservists and their spouses. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act have been effective in helping to increase loans dramatically. For the past three and a half years over $560 million loan guarantees were awarded to approximately 7,000 small veteran-owned businesses. Due to its success the program has not only been extended for another three years but have the fastest loan approval turnaround time with loans up to $500,000.
