Yes, it’s true, fresh ants are in season during our refreshingly fine fall. Many ant beds are finding their way into our lawns as we strive to rake up the leaves that have been shaken from our trees. Luckily, and rather unfortunately, today’s recipe doesn’t involve real ants, so you’ll have to find another way to rid your lawn of these painful pests.
This recipe is an old classic that my grandparents remember, and how could you not? Ants on a log is one of the simplest recipes for us kids, and it’s pretty tasty even without the ants.
Ants on a Log
- Celery, washed & cut into 3-4 inch lengths
- Smooth Peanut Butter
- With a butter knife, spread the peanut butter into the crevice of each celery piece.
- Top with 3 or 4 raisins.
