Members of the Google Lunar X PRIZE were judges for a Redundo Beach, California VEX Robotic Competition. The competition is run by a globally run robotics company that emphasizes better robotics from initial working concepts. Students of the Beach Cities, Mira Costa High School and Redundo Union High School, were competitors for the Redundo Beach part of the globally run competition.
The X PRIZE was emphasizing the concept of a STEM education, mentioning in a press release that a hands on education is one of the best ways to learn about Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM).
