Bugaboo Creek steak house in Newark is meeting the economic challenge by offering a nice menu with reasonable prices. They specialize in steaks and have a variety to choose from. Their entrees usually come with choice of soup or salad, vegetable and potato. We have had many of their items and enjoyed them all. The bone-in 14oz. New York strip was recommended by our server over the 12oz. As you’d expect the flavor was much better because bone and marbling of this cut. It’s seasoned with sea salt, cracked pepper and herbs and was cooked to my exact preference. We also had the Fireside Sirloin Skillet Tips. They are served with sauteed mushrooms and onions in a mini cast iron skillet. Both were very tender and delicious. One of us had a salad and the other the soup of the day. Our entrees came with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Everything including the service was spot on. It was around 6:30pm on a Saturday. We didn’t wait long and were addressed right away. The server was very informative and polite. He checked on us but didn’t bother us. (I think you can over do checking on a guests progress)
We were offered a dessert but declined as we could not finish our large portioned entrees. They would be great with eggs in the morning. Needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will return again.
Steaks are not the only thing offered on their menu. They also have Chicken, Pork ribs, Fish (a really good grilled salmon) pasta dishes and sandwiches. They have some desserts that will satisfy any sweet tooth.
Bugaboo Creek is also offering membership in a frequent dining club. You earn a point for each dollar you spend. It’s easy to join as you can do it from the restaurant or home. The points accumulate to receive vouchers for future use.
