Finding abundance from within, in a deep rich earthly manner, is what this Full Moon in Taurus is going to engage our spirit to follow. Abundance is not just dealing with material concerns; it is also the abundance of life’s joy and power within. Taurus is a grounding fixed sign that embodies stability, structure, and beauty to our foundation. The foundation of our lives is what keeps us focused and sturdy when chaos happens. If you are not constructed from the bottom up, with strength and will, then you will eventually fall to the ground.
Sometimes we have to completely crumble to be in tune with what is important in our lives. The full moon cycle inspires us to get back to the rituals of life and we find curiosity with the past. The people before our time did not occupy themselves with trivial matters; such as, television reality shows, newspaper propaganda, or dramatic gossip interludes; they looked to the earth and the nature of things to find answers. They found power in the rhythm and sounds of the earth, reached for stars to give them direction, and sacrificed creatures and gods to give them better understanding of worship and creation. They knew nothing but what was real and intuitive to them. We look at them now as having archaic measures of sight and knowledge when really they lived a life rich with passion and truth.
What kind of life are you living?
It is easy to get caught up in life and just living. We can find time to distract our inner teacher and become a follower to other’s messages and disciplines. When we get off course there is always some sense of uneasiness in our bodies and minds. We feel we are going with the flow of what we think is right, because that is what someone told us we needed to do to be successful or happy. Continuing on our path, we become more curious as to how things exist and why they are occurring to us. This questioning leads to our instinctual call to know where we came from and who is watching from above. Going into nature and listening and feeling the vibrations that come to us when we allow ourselves to just be (turning of the internal chatter) gets us back to our naked self. The naked self can represent a symbolic image of our foundation, like that of the Taurus energy, which needs to have power and rooted strength to survive. The energy center represented in our body, called a chakra, is the root or the muladhara. This is our connection to earth and our place where personal security lies. When we feel we have roots to something, we immediately feel at home. This could be with a person, place, or job vocation. When we are not rooted, we feel lost, have no idea why we are here and have fear for our lives. When things get out of balance we need to “check-in” with ourselves on how this important power center is functioning. The Taurean energy gives us great courage and decisive action to work on this very aspect of our lives.
Taking concepts, archetypes, and myths are ways that encourage us to find answers which are true for ourselves. One persons truth is not another’s. There is no right or wrong to this statement, it just is. As we try and relate to each other in a partnership, we need to remember that we are constantly re-creating our story and the characters that live in it. We need to realize that we grow and expand in different measures but it is Love that is the tie that binds us forever. Loving someone really is about letting them be themselves and assisting them, should they want, in their own awareness toward truth. This shift in intention, where love and life are concerned, is the place we are facing on this planet right now. Being flexible and receptive to situations and circumstances that may at first look unfavorable will be our key into moving forward with the times, not backwards.
