Rob was an absolute mess during the challenge and dinner service, so it was no surprise when he forced to give up his chef’s coat. Head chef Gordon Ramsay said he couldn’t put up with Rob’s inability and screw-ups in the kitchen any longer.
After Boris’ elimination last episode, Ramsay sent Trev back to the men’s team. He was happy to be back with the men because he felt the women had let him down, and the women were thrilled to get rid of him. Ramsay told Trev this would be his last chance
The chefs were challenged to a blind taste test on Tuesday’s episode. He proved to them that their pallets needed this challenge when he had them taste five items, only one of which came from a fine dining restaurant; the rest came from fast food places.
The tasting items included sea bass, grapefruit, truffles and white asparagus. Some items would’ve been hard for anyone to tell, but some items, like filet mignon, should have been easy; Sabrina and Rob thought filet mignon was chicken.

In the end, the women won by one correct ingredient. Nona saved the team from a loss, a save that would’ve been Trev’s if he could have correctly identified more than one of his items. Although, at least he got one correct; Rob didn’t correctly identify any of his. The women’s reward was a $2,000 shopping spree and lunch with Ramsay. The men’s punishment was separating recyclable and non-recycle items from a garbage truck and doing all of the night’s prep work.
Trev needed to shine during this dinner service if he wanted to stick around, so starting the night off with beautiful risotto was a great way to begin. And when things did begin to turn negative in the blue kitchen it was all on Rob, who couldn’t get the scallops right, even after several tries. Rob also had trouble cooking his halibut, which kept the men from putting out entrees and prompted Ramsay to threaten to get rid of him if he didn’t straighten up in the next five minutes.

In the red kitchen, Nona was battling raw chicken while Sabrina was proving through leadership and great halibut that maybe she does deserve to still be around. Later, Ramsay lost it on Nona when she couldn’t handle the meat station, kicking her out of the kitchen. Nona wasn’t alone, though. Not long after she was sent upstairs, Vinny and Russell were sent upstairs for split-second mistakes. Ramsay was just so amped up from Rob and Nona’s issues that every mistake, little or big, threw him into a tailspin.
Last to go was Rob, who sent up one too many raw halibuts. If ever there was a time for a chef, especially Trev, to shine, it was now. Not only did Trev survive but he thrived as the only chef in the blue kitchen, completing service without issues. As the only surviving member of the blue kitchen, Trev was told to name two nominees. He chose Rob and Russell.
