Vinny Accardi, Jr., a 29-year-old line cook from Queens, N.Y. was eliminated from “Hell’s Kitchen” season eight on Wednesday’s episode, 7 Chefs Compete
“I lost. I had my shot right in front of my face, and I blew it,” Vinny said after his elimination. “I came here with the intention of winning, and I failed. This is the worst night of my life.”

Head chef Gordon Ramsay told Vinny he was “on the decline” and told viewers his high hopes for Vinny in the beginning had been killed by a horrible performance at that night’s dinner service.
The final six will compete as one team from next week forward.
The episode 10 challenge was a communication relay challenge. The chefs had to create three entrees in 30 minutes, with only one chef allowed in the kitchen at a time. Every five minutes the chefs were told to switch out but given 15 seconds to communicate what they had done in the kitchen and what needed to be done next to the next entering chef.
Kurt Warner eliminated from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ 11 on eighth results show
Although both teams had some big issues – one blue team dish almost lacked lobster because Trev didn’t communicate to another teammate that the lobster was still raw; and Jillian dropped the salmon after burning her hand on the hot pan – the win came down to whose beans were the least not cooked. The blue team took home the win and the reward, their first in four challenges. Jillian was heartbroken to learn that the team lost because she dropped the salmon. Lucky for her, the other women on her team blamed Gail for the loss because she hadn’t timed things correctly.
The twist to this night’s dinner service was that the teams were given the opportunity to create and execute their own menus.
The diners had to choose between the red team’s menu and the blue team’s menu, and the women were the clear favorite in the beginning. The men were doing nothing for quite some time, while the red team was successfully cranking out appetizers. It didn’t take long for the success to come to a crashing halt. Gail totally blew it on the lobster entrée. If the lobster wasn’t overcooked or undercooked, the pasta was overcooked or undercooked. After seven attempts Ramsay had had enough and promptly threw Gail out of the kitchen.
Michael and Kevin Wu, also known as KevJumba, eliminated from ‘The Amazing Race’ 17 on episode seven
The men were pumped to serve the owner of the restaurant they dined at the previous day for their reward, a man who went above and beyond for them. Unfortunately, Vinny didn’t return the favor. Russell told him to get lamb ready, and Vinny said OK. Then, Vinny completely forgot about the lamb; probably the most important piece of meat of his entire life, and he forgot it. Perhaps it was the chaos of the kitchen, but most of us are thinking it was the 6-pack of beer he downed around midnight the night before. When the man finally did get his lamb, he thought it was absolutely awful and inedible. Vinny’s lack of luck continued on the fish station, where he served Ramsay raw halibut.
There was no winning team, and the chefs were told to all chose one person they believed did not deserve to be part of the final six; Russell chose Vinny, Vinny chose Sabrina, Trev chose Sabrina, and Sabrina, Jillian, Nona and Gail chose Trev.
