Yesterday, I was inspired by the Nate Burkus show. Did not even know he had a show but it was good none the less. He was talking about decorating, of course for the holidays and had some great advice for bringing all traditions together. I loved it because I think it showed how something so simple as decorations can bring people together.
That is, after all what the holidays are all about, right? No matter what religion you are, where you come from we all share common threads as people. The holidays are the perfect time to come together and enjoy each other, no matter our situation, background or religion, we should be able to enjoy and appreciate each other durring the holidays.
If any of you find the holidays stressful and lonely. Look around, I’m positive that there are people who are willing to help you out, share with you and make your holiday special. If you are positive, others around you will be too. It is never too late to start.
Gifts can be disconcerning for some people and most of us feel the pressure to get ‘the perfect gift’ for our special someone / someones. It all comes down to love. Really! People love gifts but they also love our time, attention, devotion and love. I hope you have found the perfect gifts for all of those on your list. If not, please don’t stress. The season is about more than that gift, it is about love, happiness, sharing and being with the people you love.
Celebrate and enjoy the time you have with the ones you love. These are rare, precious moments not often spent.
If we all have been given a gift, no matter what your religion or faith, we have been given the gift of time. Time to spend with those we care about for the holidays.
Enjoy them to the fullest!
