Variety Is The Spice Of Life
So you’ve replaced old items with new ones, but you want to expand your guy’s wardrobe to include slightly different styles of clothing, or more colors…
How is that possible? If he has been wearing a specific style of clothing for quite a while, it may take quite a while for the change to take place. This is because the change MUST be a gradual one… You cannot rush this one. Being in Sacramento, this feat is even harder to achieve. Sacramento men don’t feel a great sense of urgency to update their wardrobes.
With that in mind, you will need to show a great deal of patience and restraint. Take a good look at your man’s wardrobe. Assess everything from his underwear to his suits if he wears them. Take a look at his pants, jeans, khakis, etc. Take a look at all of his shirts. Assess all shirts. Everything from undershirts to dress shirts, polos, etc.
Once you have done that, you may notice a pattern in your man’s wardrobe. You may notice that he only wears certain colors, certain styles of shirts, certain styles of pants. Take that information to your favorite department store and get busy! Underwear and socks are pretty easy to deal with. Just make sure you are replacing them as soon as you notice some heavy duty wear and tear… No holes in socks or undies! Not a good look for a grown man!
As for everything else, give serious thought to what your main objective is. Do you want your guy to try new styles and/or new colors? These two situations have to be handled separately in order to be successful. The best thing you can do is start with ONE of the objectives if you are trying for a COMPLETE change.
Make it easy on yourself and start with just replacing older items with newer ones. No matter how much you want to make immediate changes to your man’s wardrobe… DON’T! You will freak him out, and start an argument. I repeat!… JUST REPLACE OLD WORN OUT CLOTHES WITH NEW ONES!… Same colors, same styles. Get him used to the idea of new clothing coming into the house on a regular basis (an annual basis).
Thank should hold you over for now… Variety pt. 2 – The Shirts coming soon.
Until next time…
