SHOW OF THE DAY 12/23/10
Joe Gransden @ Eddie’s Attic – 8pm
Get out for a nice dinner and some sweet tunes tonight at Eddie’s Attic. Atlanta’s Joe Gransden will be offering up an evening of jazz and blues that will warm you up on this cold night. Along for the ride is Francine Reed the queen of Atlanta’s blues community. Have a nice time out on the town and check out two great Atlanta musicians.
ALBUM OF THE DAY
Sean Costello – We Can Get Together
Sticking with the local artist theme, I chose Sean Costello’s We Can Get Together for today’s album. Sean was a great artist lost way too soon. This record is chocked full of traditional blues, dirty guitar solos and howling vocals. Check out Sean’s music, you will not be disappointed.
SONG OF THE DAY
Urban Shakedancers – Natural Born Woman
Back in the 90’s there was a rocking southern rock/blues band the Urban Shakedancers. I saw them open for the Black Crowes once and they were incredible. “Natural Born Woman” was one hell of a song. It was fast, raunchy and had that southern juke joint feel to it. Band mainstay Robert Paige could tear up the guitar and had a voice meant to sing, man they were good.
