Aside from being a bestselling author, adoptive parent, and an inspiration to other writers, Karen Kingsbury can add another ministry to her list. On her website she has a section dedicated to soldiers and their families. Families can go to Karen’s main page and click on Soldiers. This will take you to a page that includes links to Active Military Heroes and Fallen Military Heroes. These sections offer loved ones a place to upload a picture of their family member and list prayer requests. By uploading pictures and stories, each person agrees to remember other service members in their prayers.
Veterans Day is next week and someday those currently serving our country will be called veterans. One of the best ways to honor our veterans and recognize them for the sacrifices they have made is to make sure we treat our current military men and women with respect. We may not always agree with the policies and decisions surrounding our military, however, each service man and woman deserves our thanks for the tough jobs they do.
