I always look forward to winter break–a week when my kids have no schedules, when I take time off work, when we can wake up and be spontaneous about what we want to do that day. I look forward to winter break–until we’re about three days in, that is, and I find we really do need some structure to fill our time! Living here in the Philly area, chances are the weather is cold enough that we won’t spend a whole lot of time outdoors.
This year, I’m going to make cooking time a regular part of our daily activities. From December 27th–January 1st, we’ll make one of the 32 recipes from “The Kitchen Classroom” each day. From morning Mickey Mouse pancakes to Mama’s meatballs for dinner, we’ll spend an hour or so each day connecting and communicating in the kitchen. Use your copy of “The Kitchen Classroom” to cook along with us. I’ll announce what recipe we’ll be cooking the night before and you can email me any questions that you have. I’ll share pictures of our process as we cook.
“The Kitchen Classroom” is being shipped out as we speak, so if you don’t have a copy yet, Click here to order!
