In a statement released today, SeekingArrangement.com, the dating site known as the meeting place for sugar daddies and sugar babies seeking “Mutually Beneficial Relationships”, decried the recent banning of ladies nights in states across the US.
“SeekingArrangement.com and SeekingMillionaire.com strongly supports the ladies night concept! Which is why on our websites, everyday and everynight is a Ladies Night … because it is 100% free for the ladies.”, says Brandon Wade, founder and CEO of the sites.
The site is adamantly opposed to charges filed by the Minnesota department of Human Rights recently to ban ladies nights, in which female patrons are waived the admission cost at bars and clubs and receive reduced price or free drinks, because in the state commissioners purview, it’s gender discrimination.
Yet some men have a different view, such as self-proclaimed ‘anti-feminist’ author Marc Rudov. In a debate about the ladies night ban on the “Fox and Friends” show, Rudov said “the fact of the matter is that ladies night is just another female entitlement…”
Rudov continued by saying the concept of ladies night reinforces his long held stance “that dating is legal prostitution… if women aren’t going to show up unless they’re bought and paid for, that’s prostitution”.
John Banzhaf, law professor at the George Washington University, says a discount for women is no less discrimination than offering lower prices to whites than blacks. “Sex discrimination is wrong, no matter whose ox is being gored”, he proclaims.
Described by the New York Times as “a down-and-dirty marketplace where older moneyed men and cute young women engage in brutally frank transactions”, SeekingArrangement.com is where hundreds of thousands of women have registered since the great recession to date men who will provide them financial support.
Wade says that in speaking out against the ban, he’s representing the vast majority of men on his site and at bars and clubs around the world. “Ladies nights are simply a way for private businesses to make their bars, clubs, or dating sites, more mutually beneficial. Men benefit as much as women do at ladies nights, and our site will continue to defend and promote mutually beneficial relationships such as these.”
With fewer ways for offline dating grounds such as bars and clubs to level the ratio of men to women, sugar daddy dating sites like Wade’s may prove to be the true beneficiaries of the ban. “When there are fishes, the fishermen will come”, says Wade.
