Yeah… 3-4′ and in great shape after 7 days of Biblical rain. I’m looking at El Porto with bowly lefts and freight train rights. This is a solid west northwest swell that’s going to fade fast as the day wears on. Winds are offshore, tide is rising to 6′ at about 10 a.m. so you need to be on it early. Venice is looking slightly walled and sectiony with 2-4′ surf. Manhattan down to the Avenues is looking about the same.
Northern Santa Monica Bay surfers: Who did you piss off? It’s 1-2′, disorganized and basically a mess out there from Topanga to the Pt. Dume breaks. County Line is looking better.
Water quality is still pretty bad near places like Venice and anywhere there’s an unfettered outflow into the ocean. Low tide of 1′ will hit at about 5 p.m.
I’m on it.
