In Houston, Texas, police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at a west side McDonald’s parking lot. He appeared to be shot.
The man’s body was found in the rear of the parking lot, located on North Gessner Road in close proximity to Westview Drive, at approximately 4:15am Thursday. Houston cops, then, rushed to the scene after receiving the report.
Upon arrival, police learned that the body was lying next to a Redbox movie rental kiosk outside the eatery, which was closed during that time.
Police are not aware as to what triggered the incident or where the man was gunned down. He may have been shot either at that location or somewhere else. No suspects have been determined and no arrests have been made.
The name of the victim has not yet been disclosed.
The victim was not an employee at the business, according to authorities.
Although the restaurant had at least one surveillance camera, no surveillance video footage of the incident appeared to be available, since a camera did not point at the direction where the discovery was made.
Now, the only way to find out how the man likely died is to wait for results, which will be given by members of the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The investigation remains ongoing.
