A new NAFTA accord is currently being negotiated between the US and Canada that may threaten the Canadian way of life as well as its sovereignty and its Constitution.
Mrs. Hillary Rodham-Clinton, US Secretary of State, and Mr. Stephen Harper, Canadian Prime Minister, have held several meetings to discuss the new agreement without the involvement of the Canadian House of Commons.
Documents pertaining to the ongoing discussions were leaked to the press earlier last week and a CBC News broadcast set a series of debates in motion, including a discussion on the floor of the House of Commons which was clearly shocked and surprised by the announcement of a new NAFTA agreement that may have far reaching consequences for all Canadians, their way of life, their independence and their sovereignty.
The original North American Free Trade Agreement or NAFTA was ratified in 1994 by the US, Canada and Mexico to allow the free flow of goods and services throughout North America.
The agreement also stipulated that each sovereign member of the agreement would supervise and secure their borders as per the applicable national law and Constitution.
The new NAFTA agreement, originated in the US and currently pursued by the US State Department through Mrs. Rodham-Clinton would effectively call for the Canadian borders to be secured by US border patrol units on both sides of the border.
The US Constitutional law would supersede the Canadian Constitution when pertaining to trade of goods and services on any of its borders but also extends further.
The US would be able to impose its own immigration policy on Canada should the new agreement take effect.
This raises the question whether or not Canada would lose its sovereignty and its independence.
The Canadian Constitution clearly states an allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of England through its legal representative, His Excellency the Right Honorable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada.
The new agreement is nothing short of the first steps towards annexing Canada as a new State and mandating that all citizens give up their nationality, their independence and instead swear allegiance to the US Constitution.
Talks about implementing this new plan are currently underway as Mrs. Rodham-Clinton is visiting Canada and is meeting with Mr. Harper.
Two rather obscure organizations have been working diligently behind the scenes since 2000 to integrate Canada into what is referred to on their websites as “The United North America” and “The Trilateral Commission”, both of which clearly state that the envisioned framework would be based on the US Constitution.
In addition, the US has laid out plans to build a NAFTA Superhighway that would connect the Mexican border with Canada and would divide the Western and Eastern US states with another North-South border under the joint control of the DHS, TSA and NSA.
It is expected that the new agreement can be announced as early as January 2011 and without the approval of the Canadian Parliament based on mentioned security issues that are placed with the Department of Homeland Security.
