Asking the same question, this writer has found out some interesting places to see this month, as we begin to prioritize where we can devote some of our quality leisure time, and where regrets have no place in the afterthought.

This year, the Lira Ensemble offers a holiday show called Polish Carols (Kolędy Polskie) featuring “gorgeous Polish Carols, American Carols, too, all narrated in English.” The two performances are slated as follows:

CCC Ensemble sing Christmas Carols for the holiday season in the east lobby of Daley Center.

The Central Swedish Committee of Chicago celebrate St. Lucia with music, St. Lucia Court and program for the Crowning of St. Lucia 2010.
Tuesday December 14 – Holiday Concert
Holiday music performed by Cary-Grove High School’s Acappella Singers and Swing Choir.
Wednesday December 15 – Gallery 37 – Advance Arts Education Program
“A Winter Showcase”, featuring performances from students at Chicago Public High School’s Advanced Arts Education Program
