Plan B. Have you ever had your heart set on a “plan a” only for it to not work out, so you sadly have to resort to “plan b”? Then you will relate to this book. Plan B by Pete Wilson, takes the reader through shattered dreams and tragedies from the lives of real people.
Through these stories, Pete shows how even in the most hopeless of situations where you feel like you’re alone, God can do his best work. He will help even if you think He doesn’t care. Pete aligns some of the examples with biblical stories like those of David, Joseph and Ruth. He gives advice to you, the reader, as if he is your pastor, helping you to see where your relationship has the potential to be with God. The hardest part is getting there, but you can. An encouraging book, to be sure.
Though I wouldn’t normally look into this book, Pete Wilson’s blog and twitter account made it too enticing. Not all will be able to relate to some of the more heartbreaking stories in the book, but the way you can rise above all the hurt and the pain can apply to everyone. Pete has this amazing way of saying things so that they are super understandable right off the bat. Normally these types of books can be slow and plodding, but this one didn’t have that affect all. This is one book that you just don’t want to put down.
