RHOA: Phaedra lies about due date; Gives birth to a baby boy in May 2010

Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member Phaedra Parks gave birth to a baby boy in May of this year, but over the last two episodes of RHOA Phaedra raised more than a few eyebrows over her lack of maternal knowledge. Phaedra didn’t seem to know exactly how far along she was although she claimed she was due at the end of July or early August. On the latest episode, Phaedra announced that the baby had already turned downward and that she would be induced at 7 months. She also said the baby weighed 8 lbs and was fully developed. She further explained that her hubby, Apollo, was born 3 months early and weighed a whopping 9 lbs. I don’t even have to tell you that Phaedra is getting my fierciest side-eye.

Let’s take a stroll down biology lane.

  1. Pregnancy is actually 10 months, not 9. 40/4 =10 months. So, at 7 months Phaedra is barely 30 weeks pregnant.
  2. Around 30 weeks, most babies are just under 3 lbs, not 8 lbs.
  3. A baby doesn’t move into delivery position until around 36 weeks.
  4. Most doctor’s will not induce labor earlier than 38 weeks unless there is a complication like a threat to the mother’s life.

So, Phaedra what kind of crack are you smoking? And do you really think you’re that great of a lawyer that you can trick people about the natural biology of life? You’re clearly further along than you want people to know. So what, you got knocked up before you actually tied the knot? Maybe your hubby isn’t your baby’s daddy. Who knows? But, what we do know is that your story does not add up.
