How Rock and Rolling Stones Crumbled the Berlin Wall
New book features an extensive memorabilia of one English Rock Band and how their music broke barriers and enlightened minds
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood, Charlie Watts – a couple of guys whose music did not only touch hearts from generation to generation, but also brought nations together. This sensational English Rock and Roll band since the 1960s, The Rolling Stones, turned out to be the best thing that could ever occur to author Sandor Fonad’s life. Now, in “Rock and Rolling Stones: A Noble Weapon of Music for Humanity,” he delivers entertainment and enlightenment to everyone as he compiles photographs, interviews, comments about the “Greatest Rock and Roll Band on Earth.”
“Music is exactly why the Iron Curtain went down.” Keith Richards, band guitarist, says in one interview. “It was jeans and rock and roll that took that wall down in the long run.” These particular statements were the anchoring words that tied together the story of the most important part of the author’s life.
Having been overwhelmed with the band’s charismatic and mesmerizing way of getting so many people together through their music, Fonad compiles an extensive memorabilia of the Rolling Stones in this book. It contains vivid photographs, many taken by the author himself during their tours, concerts, and more. It also contains the words of Don Was, the co-producer with the band for many years and albums, reflecting his opinions on the band’s inner musicianship and personalities.
“This book is the result of his experience I had way back in the summer of 1969,” Fonad shares. “It gave me a brand new perspective on living knowing that there is a mission in front of me. I knew my responsibility was to deliver the rock and roll music and the experience to my friends behind the Iron Curtain.”
Readers are invited to immerse in more “Paint it, Black”, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction”, kind of music and the powerful story behind it in Rock and Rolling Stones: A Noble Weapon of Music for Humanity. For more information on this book, interested parties may log on to Xlibris.com.
