Sapporo Japanese Restaurant is a small but elegant restaurant in the same building as Fedex/Kinko’s on Gallatin Road near Rivergate. They serve both raw and cooked sushi (surely as lean and healthy as you could wish!) and serve other Japanese dishes as well. Their website is http://www.mysapporo.com, but the menu links do not work currently. The site does contain good directions, a telephone number, and an email address. Restaurant servers are very friendly and helpful.
The meal shown here is spicy pork grilled with vegetables and sesame seeds in a spicy sauce. It is served with rice, a lettuce salad with a quite tasty dressing, and a cup of miso soup. Forks are provided for those who have never learned to manage chopsticks (or feel that a good book is the best accompaniment to a good meal). The pork is lean and delicious, spicy enough that you want a lot to drink. Rice is a fine neutral accompaniment.
Sapporo is a great place to enjoy an Asian meal in a comfortable setting. You can definitely eat healthy.
