When we think of seasons, we think of the winter, fall, spring, and summer. It seems now more than ever that the seasons seem to come and go by fairly quickly just as the days of the week. Take a drive down Hwy. 147, I-540, or Hwy. 70, and you will notice how day in and day out, people seem as if not to take notice of the atmosphere or the environment around them, because everyone is in a rush to get where they are going. Not to mention, no matter what the expected forecast is for the day, no one seems to be bothered; traffic keeps moving, traffic lights keep changing, and the people and vehicles which make up the traffic, keep pressing forth; hey………life must go on.
Let’s think about your life for a moment; which season do you feel you are in? If you feel you’re in a dry season where it seems as if you’ve lost everything and have to start the process over again, are you complaining or are you rejoicing that you now have the opportunity to regroup, refocus, and find out how strong you really are? If you feel that you’re in a season of transition, are you taking advantage of the opportunities that God is placing before you to stretch and grow, or are you being stagnant with where you are because you feel that after so many unsuccessful attempts, there’s no need of trying anymore? Maybe you are in a season where you’ve just come out of a major storm, and now the blessings of God are overtaking you, and you’re ready to tell everyone about your deliverance!
Well no matter where you are, just know that your season will change. No matter what you’ve lost or who you’ve lost you can rest now with the understanding that our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ is a Restorer. He can mend your broken heart, bless you with that job you’ve been praying for and rescue that ailing family member, whose body you’ve been praying for would be healed. If things seem to be going your way right now, just know that every now and then, an obstacle may come your way not to hurt you, but to make you stronger and wiser.
So just as you would in traffic, or how you would as if you were walking down Parrish St. in the rain, to get to an important meeting at the Blue Coffee Cafe in Downtown Durham; keep pressing forth. No matter where you are in life and no matter what decision you may face tomorrow, just know that your season will change. In the end, you’ll see…….God was causing all of it to work together for your good. There’s nothing impossible for God!
