Welcome back, everyone!
Las Vegas is the place to be, I’ll tell you that much right now. Great weather, great people and GREAT entertainment. After seeing all the lights that can be viewed from someone who lives in this area, I have decided to call Las Vegas, “The City of Silver!”
With this week’s edition we will focus on the value of “silver” in healthcare, wealth, and sports. In condensed fashion this means that “silver” is powerful for many applications. It can improve your health, improve your wealth and determine where you stand in your performance against your competitors. However, there is some very good news forthcoming on silver. This is where we find out for once and for all, it is not always the “gold” that determines the king. It is the silver.
In the 1940s silver was known as one of the most powerful antiseptics. Silver has many, many applications. It can be used as an electrical conductor, to help with those who incur burns and is considered to be a “precious metal” by those involved with finance, and competitive sports. In the finance industry, an awakening is coming forth that is going to take a good many by surprise.
Silver was a common antibiotic and antiseptic in the late 1800s and early 1900s. They even gargled with the element back then when they had a sore throat. Eye drops containing the element were also popular as a curative agent. Sometimes it has to make one wonder where we went wrong by handing the power over to the pharmacological organizations in order to profit from medications produced from other chemicals that oft times end up harming people, rather than helping them.
Have you ever had a day when you were scheduled to train when you had diarrhea, athletes foot, a bacterial or viral infection and decided it was not wise to move forward as scheduled. Well, back in the past century, silver based compounds were administered to rid the body of these ailments. Silver has been used to replace missing bone fragments. That’s right, silver is the metal of choice for taking care of that “wipe out” you had in the last edition from this writer. “Ouch!” is the scream that comes out. Silver is the material that helps tie the materials of which bones are created back together. Amazing.
Silver is now becoming one of the rarest elements on the surface of the earth. This is why silver coins are becoming a very popular collector’s item. For the athlete, silver means second place. For the world, silver is moving towards first. Could it possibly be that to come in second will be more valuable than coming in first place in an athletic event? Don’t tell this to JP Morgan. That would mean the bankers would finally get their day, and the people will get theirs. Being the underdog sometimes pays off.
Indeed it is true, all that glitters is not gold. And to end the article, some fantastic artists to exploit while we all prepare for the feast ~
The Power of Gold ~ Dan Fogelberg
Silver Bells ~ Jim Reeves
Just remember, sometimes it is better to finish second and learn something, than it is to finish first and be conquered. This holiday season, give the gift of silver. Think about it.
Until next time, keep reaching for the stars. When you get there, go higher!
Peace be with you all ~ always, and in all ways. . .
