I recently read a great Chicago Tribune article titled, “10 things you might not know about underwear,” and wanted to share the story with foamcage.com readers.
Inspired by society’s scattered underwear news ranging from the Detroit airport “underwear bomber” and on the flipside the televised Victoria’s Secret fashion show featuring a $2 million diamond-encrusted bra, the article walks through 10 “did you know” type facts about undergarments.
A few highlights include:
1. People have supposedly been wearing things down under since 1352 B.C.
2. Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura always went commando.
3. In 1856 some women wore as many as 16 petticoats – imagine the weight!
