November 20, 2010 – ‘The Vampire Diaries’ spoilers from producer Julie Plec’s ‘EW’ interview –
The Vampire Diaries producer Julie Plec recently sat down with Entertainment Weekly and spilled a few spoilers about the show’s second season.
Please read at your own risk, as she divulged some new information that will be revealed on upcoming episodes… It’s nothing major, but we just want to warn first!

The first news Julie goes into, is something we’ve already been hearing about, which is the big cliffhanger at the end of the December 9 episode, By the Light of the Moon.
Apparently, it centers around Tyler (Michael Trevino) and his transformation; and what’s more interesting, is that he will find out he’s not the only werewolf in town.
Julie went on to say that Tyler is going to “go to extreme lengths” to safely transform.
“The old Lockwood cellar exists for a reason, and we’ll be making some very good use out of it for this episode. Tyler’s transformation from human into werewolf, it’s the literal growing pains of a boy becoming a man… seeing how he comes out the other side will define who he is.”

Mason’s friend from Florida, Jules (Michaela McManus) comes looking for him and “she’ll stick around for a little while, and cause all kinds of trouble,” teased Julie.
The producer also said that the feud between vampires and werewolves is going to be much bigger in season two’s second half. She added that both creatures, besides being mortal enemies, have something in common, which is: they have differences between their generations.
“When we introduce down the road some warewolves who have been schooled through their family bloodlines for generation upon generation upon generation, they’re gonna have a much darker point of view about the vampires than somebody like Mason and Tyler, who stumbled upon their curse accidentally.” Julie explained.

Another “goody” to look forward to is a very intense relationship between Tyler and Caroline (Candice Accola). “They’re gonna go through hell and back with each other. If and when it turns romantic, is one of those wait-and-see kind of things.”
However, serious “repercussions” are in store for Caroline for not telling Damon (Ian Somerhalder) that she revealed what she is to Tyler.
So, what do you make of all this? Some heavy stuff is in store for TVD fans in the second half of the Vampire Diaries season!
