In the fall, my article “Seasonal activities to educate and entertain” talked about all the great fall activities available at one of my favorite spots to take my niece and nephew, Johnson’s Farm in Medford, NJ. Now I’m back with news about their awesome Christmas events! Its not too late to take part….they are open tomorrow, Christmas Eve, until noon!
You can take your kids to visit Santa and his reindeer on a farm instead of in the crowded mall this year. Johnson’s also offers horse drawn hayrides that are popular year after year! After your hayride, make s’mores in the barnyard underneath the thousands of twinkle lights they put up each year for a festive touch.
If you get a little cold on your outdoor adventure, you can conclude your evening by sipping hot chocolate inside their market while the kids decorate gingerbread men and Christmas tree cookies. You can also shop around for those last minute gifts during the market’s Christmas sale.
Visit with Santa – no charge but bring your camera!
Reindeer exhibit in the Discovery Barnyard – $3.25 per person
Discovery Barnyard Campfire – $3.25 per person; S’more kits are available for $4.95 per kit (makes 2 S’mores)
Horse Drawn Hayride – $4.00 per Person
Decorate your own gingerbread men – $6.50 per child
Have a fun and happy holiday, everyone!
