Just the other day my husband told me we were going out to eat for his mother’s birthday. We decided on Uno’s Chicago Bar and Grill because of the location. It is in the heart of downtown with easy parking in the mall garage. I met my husband and his family at the restaurant. It was lunch time and there was five of us. They sat us in the back away from the door which was nice because it just happened to be a cold day. Once seated the hosted told us about the specials they were having. They have a three course lunch menu that comes with a choice of an appetizer, entree, an dessert for $13.99. The waitress came over introduced herself, and took our drink order, I ordered a raspberry ice tea. The waitress returned with our drink order an took are order.
Three of us decided on three course lunch menu while the other two decided to get a cup of soup and half sandwich. Our waitress was very friendly she told us her name and answered any questions we may of had. I decided on the avocado egg rolls for my appetizer, it was three mini egg rolls with just the right about of avocado. They had just the right amount of flavor and the dipping sauce was tamarind cashew it was very good. For my entree, I chose the lobster and shrimp scampi. It was a great lunch size and had a good amount of lobster meat in it as well as shrimp. Lastly, for my dessert I chose Uno’s deep dish sundae, it was a sundae on top of a deep dish chocolate chip cookie that was just baked. The cookie was nice an warm an the sundae was not too big. Throughout the entire meal our waitress checked on us to make sure we were pleased with our meals, and made sure we had refills. I was very impressed with the service and the quality of the food. I am defintely going to go back maybe today, writing about food makes me hungry!
