Two down, one to go for Kyle Busch.
A day after winning the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Busch held off Kevin Harvick on a late race restart during the NASCAR Nationwide Series Ford 300 and went on to score his 13th victory of the season in the series.
Busch also locked up the series owner’s title for Joe Gibbs Racing.
“This Toyota was fast, man,” Busch said. “I just can’t thank these guys enough. They do a great job at Joe Gibbs Racing — the chassis shop, the body shop, everybody. They put it all together for us in these last three seasons. It’s a shame to see this car go, but we’ve got a new priority here next year. It will be fun. It will be a new challenge for us.”
Behind Busch and Harvick, series champion Brad Keselowski was third, rookie of the year Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was fifth with Trevor Bayne rounding out the top five.
Busch will hope to continue his winning ways Sunday at Homestead-Miami; he’ll start 33rd in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Ford 400.
